Dressing up for Women in Islam

Islam is the complete code of life it has the guidance for all. It tells us how to spend our lives. Islam has a system which makes a balance in society. Everything in the Islam is for the benefits of the other Muslims and people.

It is the most asked questioned by the Muslim Women that what should we dress like? What are the dressing codes of Islam? As the dressing up for the women is the serious issue of the society. So today I came up to you with Answer! Quran and hadith explained the dressing up for women as follow,

Dressing up for women in the light of Quran:

In Islam, the women have the high rank and value. For them there respect and honor are the most important. And Islam keeping this in view told the ruling for the women to cover their body and do Hijab with much stress.

As Quran says,

“Oh, Prophet! Tell your daughter, wives, women believer, and the women of the believer to cover the bodies with the cloaks that should be better.”

As we can clearly see that it is necessary for women to cover her from his head to her foot. And it will be better for them.

Likewise, this Allah says about the covering for women in other words in Islam as follow,
“OH, Prophet! Say to the believing women that they should cover their private parts they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what appear, therefore.”

In this verse, it can be clearly seen that it is an obligation for women to cover all of her body and hide her ornaments and don’t do her publicity.

While doing Hajj and Umrah it is also a question for women that what should be our Ihram? And answer for those is that any cloth you wear can be your Ihram unless and until your whole body is covered except the face. It should be cover in a way that not even a single hair is seen.

Now performing of Hajj and Umrah is very much easy. Now due to the law, you will charge by nights you spent and the 7 Nights Umrah Visa Only charges are very low with respect to other.

Dressing up for women in the light of Quran:

The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) also given stress to the dressing up for the women and about their fashions. Some of the verses regarding women and their dressings and fashion as follow,

It is has been reported in Sahi-Muslim narrated by Abu-Musa, as follow,

“If a women used the scent and went out and if a people may get its Adour, she is so and so meaning severe remarks”

By the above hadiths, we can see that if a woman is using the Adour and going out she is committing adultery. So using perfume and going out is strictly banned.

On the other place, it has been reported in Sahi-Muslim narrated by Ubaid as follow,
“Three-person are in dome one is among the women who shows her charm to the men when her husband is not present”

By this verse, we can clearly see that if women will show her charm to the other people then she will be in the fire of Hell.

It is well of the time of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) at the time of water shortage Muslim used to fetch water from these Well, These well is still present in the land of Medina it is in “Munawwarah” it is a city in Medina. Now People are still fetching water form it by installing the electric motors, used to irrigate land and use in hous hold.

Well, this will also has a history behind it. Ones due to lack of rainfall in Medina all the wells got empty except the one well, which was owned by a Jew, that Jew used to give water to Muslims at very high rates and give free water to Jews, when this news was heard by Holy Prophet  (P.B.U.H) he said

As it is narrated by the Abu Hurayra in Bukhari;

“The one who will buy that well for Muslims, I promised he will get a mansion in heavens”

Then Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) went to Hazrat Usman, who is also the second caliph of Islam and said to Hazrat Usman to buy that well for Muslims. He without any questioning went to that Jew and ask him for his price of well, he sell only half well to Hazrat Usman, then Hazrat Usman started giving free water to Muslims, so no Muslim was buying water from that Jew so he asked Hazrat Usman to buy the second half off well, he happily bought that well for Muslim to fetch water as much as they need for free he bought that well from that Jew for 38,000 DIRHAM for each half. Which was a huge sum of money at that time. These is the reason why that well is known as “Bir Uthman” or “Well of Uthman”.

Before, entering the mosques, we should follow the Sunnah of Prophet (PBUH) such as hygiene clothes, bodily sanitation etc. According to Hadith,

Since Muezzin starts Azan in the masjid, so it is essential to respond to every single line he says. This performance has great significance and Allah give the rewards. According to Hadith, “When you hear the call to prayer, say alike to the Muathin.” (Muslim and Bukhari)

Entering in Mosque

After completing the Sunnah, when you enter the mosque you should recite the entering Dua. According to Hadith,

“If one of you arrives the masjid, he should say, Oh Allah! Open for me the doors of Your clemency! Allahuma Iftah lee abwaab rahmatika.” (Muslim)

Sitting in the 1st Row

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) emphasizes on sitting in the first row after entering the Masjid and Allah give more rewards,

“If the people were conscious of the marvelous reward attained for replying the call to prayer, and praying in the first row, they would draw straws to pursue a place in the first row.” (Muslim and Bukhari)
